长城是中国历史上最为著名的建筑之一，也是世界上最长的城墙。它的总长度约为21,196千米，跨越了中国北方的多个省份，起点在河北省的山海关，终点在陕西省的嘉峪关。长城建造的历史可以追溯到公元前7世纪，但是大部分的墙体是在明朝时期（14至17世纪）修建的。

It stretches a total length of approximately 21,196 kilometers, spanning across multiple provinces in northern China. The starting point is Shanhaiguan in Hebei Province, and the ending point is Jiayuguan in Shaanxi Province. The construction of the Great Wall can be traced back to the 7th century BC, but most of the wall was built during the Ming Dynasty (14th to 17th century).
