The day before the Spring Festival is called New Year's Eve, which is also known as the reunion dinner.

On New Year's Eve, Chinese families will gather together to have a big feast, which is the most important meal of the year. People will eat dumplings, fish, and other delicious food while chatting and laughing. They will also watch the Spring Festival Gala on TV, which is a grand performance held by China Central Television. The Gala includes various types of programs such as singing, dancing, acrobatics, comedy, and magic shows.

During the Spring Festival, people will decorate their houses with red lanterns, couplets, and paper-cuttings. The color red is believed to bring good luck and fortune. People will also give red envelopes filled with money to children and unmarried adults as a New Year's gift.

On the first day of the Spring Festival, people will wear new clothes and visit their relatives and friends to exchange greetings and blessings. They will say 'Happy New Year' and 'Wish you all the best' to each other. Children will receive red envelopes from their elders as a symbol of good luck.
